6 kiddos in 1 week that I've heard "we are waiting for our forever family!"

OK>  This post isn't like any I've ever posted.  It does have faces.  It does have links.  But these faces and links are to orphans that are KNOWN.  They have been touched by hands right here in RVA.  They are familiar.  When you take time to realize they are known across the world by someone HERE, it has to remind us that they are known and loved even more intimately by God.  I know His heart breaks and I know He's weaving their story.  May our hearts be quickened for these children and the brokenness that our Lord will redeem.  Mine is not the same this week...

I know we can't all adopt these children and I wish they weren't orphaned!  Still, we can PRAY and ask the Lord to be their redeemer who LIVES and find them a family! And see if you can point others open to adoption to them:) I know my part right now is to share with you and to pray.  It feels little in comparison to what their future could be without adoption.  It's not.  God hears their cries and ours...and I anxiously await hearing how their story will be written!

If you didn't read my post about HIV+ yesterday, please take time to do so before reading this.

Both of these kiddos are in Russia and a friend adopted 2 siblings from their orphanage a year ago.  She has a little more info if you're serious, leave a comment or email me at: 1blessedfam@gmail.com

Another girl who will age out of the younger children's orphanage in Russia

The blurb under her says -

I heard that families that were initially interested in her all dropped out.  She is beautiful and she does smile once she gets to know you!  She is just quiet and a little shy when she meets new people. I am really worried about her......she will age out soon and who knows where she will end up.  She doesn't have HIV only Hep C and she seems to be doing very well with the treatment she is on.

Another 2 are siblings from Ukraine.  A friend was with Vika when she was bringing her daughter home a year ago. If serious about Vika, can track down more info on younger brother.

This is long because it was taken mostly of my friend's daughter so you will have to skip around, but it starts with Vika racing.  she is dressed like a babushka with rollers under her scarf.

This is a super cute performance with Vika and others.

FYI for anyone interested -

Re. Vika – her birthday is Jan 11th.So someone would have just enough time to get her before she is sent away. The bad thing there is when they are sent away it is either to a pretty good place where you can still adopt them (though they don’t have a reputation for being that great with the medicine compared to Makiivka where they are great) or they are sent to a place where it is virtually impossible to adopt them. REALLY important if they can be adopted before they are sent away. There are contacts there at the orphanage (ie a nanny is good friends with the facilitator in the region) so it is possible to communicate that some one is coming for the child and they may be held. That is what happened for us. She is also very cute and sweet, but less coquettish and more of a tease (for example – I was trying to take her picture and she kept swinging her head away from me as I was taking it.) She should be available for adoption. When we were there her mother was deceased and her father was in the process of having his rights terminated – apparently court was around the time we were there. Negative (maybe) – she has a little brother who is probably now about 2  1/2. I think they would need to be adopted together.

This orphanage really prides itself on taking care of the children’s health. Several children were undetectable for the virus and actually had no HIV antibodies present when she went to the PID here. The doctor had to look HARD to prove that she actually had HIV. We have just continued the same regimen – so they obviously know what they are doing.

The 6th 'kid' was a preteen boy here in Richmond with a neat personality who lost both parents and desires a family to call his own.
