I can now share with
you all the current families here in RVA hosting through the Journeys
of Joy hosting program this Christmas! Before I do that though, please
keep praying for a couple more host families. The sisters I mentioned, Kristina and Anya
had their adoption pulled at the last minute (not hosting! but
adoption). They are said to be sweet girls and really eager for a
family. In addition, they are still hoping for a couple more host
families for other children.
Back to the RVA Hosting team:) ...
Families of Chris and Rebecca Perry (Hosting Alyona we hosted this summer), Chris and Tracy Scoggins (hosting 15 yr old Alyona), and Ed and Lori Bowman (hosting 10 yr old Natasha) are hosting girls from the Ukraine at Christmas time. Would you consider partnering with them in PRAYER? They have no idea what to expect with their time but we know we can ask the Lord to bless it and get loads of glory!! We’d also love it if God would use these families to connect them to their forever families! Finally, if you can offer other resources (hand me downs, medical services etc), I’m sure they’d welcome them!
The Perrys are beginning to move forward with their homestudy to begin the adoption process of Alyona. If you would like to help them financially, they’d appreciate assistance with the cost of hosting ($2500) due the end of this month.
~Send the Perrys a tax deductible check made out to: Good Hope Adoption Inc. (they will send them into Good Hope with their final payments); Any amount received above hosting fees, Good Hope will apply to the adoption of Alyona by the Perrys.
