Excited and still asking...

I know of a couple more kids that are going to have Christmas in America:)!! I'm thrilled to watch how the Lord is moving ask folks consider how the Lord wants to use their 'loaves and fishes' :)  If you are still following the Christmas Hosting opportunity, I have another update!  Friends, never discount how YOU participate in orphan care by PRAYING and advocating before our Father for these orphans!  He delights in our hearts aligning with HIS!

Remember my plea a couple of days ago for the 15 year old Alyona on the list?  WELL...SHE'S COMING TO RVA!! I'll let the family share the news, but in awe of watching it unfold!

So...I'm back for the sibling sisters on the list!! Like Alyona, the older sister, Anya is 15 but she has an extra year because she's a 'sibling'.  That said, there's no guarantees for when she'll be selected to be hosted again (if at all!).

It's always neat when there's a little more to share about kids than their age!  Click HERE for a mom's glimpse into these sisters who were friends of her now DAUGHTER!

Anya (15) & Kristina (13)
Anya and Kristina are an absolutely wonderful sibling group who came for hosting last summer(2011). They were supposed to be adopted this year but due to personal reasons the family could not continue. These girls are still left waiting for a family to come to them!

These girls are truly wonderful girls! They loved doing everything- swimming, going to the beach, painting their nails and being part of the two families that hosted them. This will be the last time Anya can be hosted before she ages out. We will not give up on her!  There is a strong network of families who have adopted children from their orphanage.

This is what Lori wrote: "They spent an evening with my husband and I during the 2011 Summer hosting program.  They were full of energy and love for each other and were very fun to be around.  Kristina was a roommate of my daughter in the orphanage and she plays the piano beautifully.  Anya was very sweet and emotional and comforted my daughter on her last day at the orphanage as she was saying goodbye to all of her friends.  I am praying someone will open their hearts to them.""

One more week for these kids to be hosted!!!

Many of you are already familiar with my advocating for these kids from Eastern Europe to be hosted for 3 weeks over Christmastime.  I'm so excited that some of these as well others that aren't on this list have already been matched with a family for hosting! It's been encouraging to hear how the Lord has moved several of you here in RVA to open up your homes and lives for HIM through hosting a kiddo! STILL...there are many left that they feel are great candidates for hosting and in need of a forever family.

TODAY MY HEART IS BURDENED FOR THIS ONE GIRL THAT WILL BE AGING OUT NEXT YEAR! THIS IS HER LAST CHANCE TO FIND A FAMILY BEFORE SHE'S ON HER OWN.  This 'concept' is not new to me as I considered this when we hosted 14 year old Alyona and she was not open to adoption initially.  I could not wrap my brain around how this could be part of God's plan.  Hopefully, IT'S NOT NOW!! As I sat on this for these kids with the Lord I realized that there is one thing I can do: PRAY AND ASK on their behalf!!  That's what I'm doing.  I'm believing that even this 15 year old that is begging her orphanage director to 'find her a family' will have her heart's desire met.

Would you join me in praying and asking our Father to lead her to a family that will tell and show her the Father's love? Thy Kingdom come, on Earth as it is in Heaven... where there will be NO MORE ORPHANS!!
