Well friends, I have much more to say about the ups, downs and in between of “Hosting” an orphan. I will get to that ‘very shortly’:) too! Looks like we (that means many of YOU!!) might have the chance to consider hosting from a group of young teens THIS CHRISTMAS! There’s even the hope that 2!!! of Alyona’s friends will be available for this opportunity! Currently though, all the details are not in my hands but hopefully will be shortly!

TODAY, I HAVE THE PLEASURE of sharing ‘the other family’:) with you! I could write for days what I saw transpire in their hearts and their desire to walk with the Lord in this. Only now, it’s THEIR TURN! So without any further ‘holding back’, you can now PRAY AND POUR YOUR SUPPORT OUT FOR...
If you’d like to partner in caring for orphans, consider how you can rally around them. Don’t underestimate the gift it is for them to see the Lord as they are cared for. Currently, they’re going to incur the homestudy and hosting fees (not minimal!). Next year they’ll have the adoption fees which they hope to establish a tax-deductible fund for others to contribute to if they desire. Folks, this is MISSION! We believe this is at the heart of the Gospel and the Church. Grateful over and over to have witnessed the love of God for Alyona (and us) through you! Be encouraged as God is beginning a new chapter for us to be a part of....

Friends-
Like many of you, when I learned that the Schwarz's would be hosting a girl from an orphanage in Ukraine, I was moved. Throughout the month of August, Rebecca and I experienced some sweet time with the Lord as we prayed for her and that God would show us if we were to play a role in this child's life. Well, I am excited to tell you that we have decided to adopt Alyona. Even better, Alyona has decided that she would like that as well! We are very excited (and more than a little scared) about this new adventure in our lives. But we are confident that this is what the Lord wants for her and for us and that He will continue to be faithful.
To those of you who surrounded Alyona with your prayers and generosity in August, we thank you. It was a clear picture to us of the Body of Christ working together. Thanks. We're excited to move forward with the home study and to host her for a few weeks in December so she can get a clearer picture of what life as a Perry is like. Hopefully, we'll be able to bring her home in the Spring.
